Apple could be set to launch the Watch Series 6 and iPad Air 4 this week. Separate tips by leaker Jon Prosser and @LeaksApplePro peg the launch of both devices for September 8.

Apple looks set to launch two new products this week according to two separate leaks. Both Jon Prosser and @LeaksApplePro have locked in September 8 for the launch of Apple’s latest products. Both tipsters expect the Apple Watch Series 6 and the redesigned iPad Air 4 to land this week ahead of next month’s iPhone 12 launch.

The Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to continue with the same design as last year’s Apple Watch Series 5 which debuted around this time last year. The biggest feature upgrade in terms of sensors is new support for blood-oxygen tracking while it will also ship with Apple's upgraded watchOS 7. It is thought that the Watch Series 6 could also debut alongside a new cheaper Apple Watch dubbed the Apple Watch SE that should offer solid performance at a more affordable price point.

The new iPad Air 4 is set to debut a long overdue redesign with a design language more in line with the premium iPad Pro line. Expect much thinner bezels and a squared off chassis that as pictured in the renders below. It is expected to offer an IPS LCD panel at around 10.8- to 11-inches. Although an A14 Bionic has been touted as a possible chipset, it seems more likely to pick up an A13 Bionic SoC. RAM is also expected to be capped at 4 GB leaving a clear choice for customers who want more performance and RAM to opt for the more expensive iPad Pro line.
