The Vivo Y300 Pro+ has finally been unveiled today, and it seemingly offers an interesting price-performance ratio. One highlight is arguably the huge battery with its remarkable capacity of 7,300mAh. Thanks to the high energy density of 838Wh per liter, the silicon-carbon battery allows the mid-range smartphone to remain relatively sleek with a thickness of just 0.31 inches.
Supposedly, the battery provides enough power for 25.4 hours of video playback or almost 15 hours of gaming, and after that it can be charged with up to 90 watts via USB-C. The mid-range smartphone is further equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB mass storage. Meanwhile, the 6.77-inch AMOLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels and an impressive peak brightness of 5,000 nits in HDR mode, although it only hits 1,300 nits in terms of full screen brightness.
The optical fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display. Vivo also opted for a 32MP front camera, a 50MP f/1.79 main camera based on the 1/1.95-inch Sony LYT-600 and a 2MP depth camera. In order to cut production costs, the latest Vivo smartphone cannot be charged wirelessly and only comes with an IP54 rating, which means that it’s protected against rain and splashes, but not fully waterproof.
