Apple's next iPhone has widely been expected to be coming sometime later this year, and that date could be sooner than anticipated. According to a Taiwanese publication citing supply-chain sources, Apple will host an event in August to announce the next generation of iPhones, rather than September as was previously thought.
Those same sources claim that the iPhone 6 will come in at the usual 4.7-inches, though another 5.5-inch smartphone will also be introduced. The iPhone 6 is also expected to be released in the same month of August, while the larger "phablet" will have a September launch date.
Little else is known regarding Apple's iPhone plans and it is also unclear whether the iPhone 6 will come in two versions, just like the iPhone 5S/5C. We do know though that iPhone rumors never tend to die down, and we should hear a lot more in the coming weeks and months.
