ZiiLabs brings out the 1.5GHz chips making them fastest in their classes

ZiiLabs unveils what can be termed as possibly the fastest pair of mobile processors around. Called the ZMS-20 and ZMS-40, these mobile processors are specifically targeted at tablet running Honeycomb. The ZMS-20 is a dual-core chip running at 1.5GHz, whereas the ZMS-40 is even faster running four cores at 1.5GHz – making both of them faster than the Qualcomm 1.5GHz chip found in HTC Flyer. Both are ARM Cortex A9 system-on-chip.

Like the older ZMS-08 chip, these two will also focus specifically on HD video decoding, and will be optimized for Honeycomb, knowing it is the OS for the future. The ZMS-08 was employed by only Creative which is the parent company. Hope this two will attract more manufacturers.
