Creative Ziio 7 tablet now shipping to Europe

As was reported previously, Creative had introduced the Ziio 7 tablet around a month ago, its first entry into the tablet PC arena. The tablet PC from the Singapore-based manufacturer has also made it to the FCC but has not yet been launched in the US. In fact, reports say that the Ziio 7 is now shipping to Italy, Germany, and also some other European countries. The newbie from Creative is all yours for 249 Euros for a model with 8GB of storage, while the 16GB version is available for about 269 Euros.

The Creative Ziio 7 is a Google Android 2.1 running tablet and has a Zii Labs ZMS-08 media processor with support for a wide range of audio and video formats. A 7-inch, 800 x 480 pixel capacitive touchscreen display does duty on the device. However, one major disappointment in this tablet is the absence of the Android Market. This means you cannot take advantage of the many free and paid apps available on the official market place. Instead you might have to use Creative’s own app store, the existence of which is not confirmed yet. Even if it is present, one  cannot expect the Android market place variety.
