Xiaomi revives old Redmi Note series phone with bright AMOLED display

Xiaomi has quietly launched a Redmi phone in China, and it's not a new device. Instead, its spec sheet is identical to the Chinese Note 14 Pro. Apparently geared for local carrier deals, it has a launch price of CNY 2,499, about $375, and this isn't really a good price for the specs.
To fill you in, the Redmi Note 14 Pro launched with the Dimensity 7300-Ultra, a mid-range SoC from 2024, and the M100 Pro has the same chipset. In the same price range in China, the Lenovo Y70 is available and offers a much better set of specs, including a more capable Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
The 5,500mAh battery is another weak point of the M100 Pro in 2026, as recent mid-range phones are pushing it over 8,000mAh. As for the screen, the phone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and it has a peak brightness rating of 3,000 nits.
Given that it's an old mid-range phone, the camera department isn't as interesting as modern options. Specifically, the M100 Pro has a 500MP primary sensor on the back with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera. The front sports a 20MP selfie shooter.
Other notable aspects include 45W fast charging support with PD3.0 compatibility (65W Anker Nano Charger Neo curr. $19.99 on Amazon), a dual-speaker setup, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Xiaomi has listed the Redmi M100 Pro in one configuration, which features 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This revived phone is unlikely to make a global debut.
