Hardly any time has passed since Xiaomi last released a new Redmi Book 14 model. To recap, the company introduced the Redmi Book 14 Ryzen Edition 2025 with a choice between two AMD Rembrandt R APUs based around the company's Zen 3+ architecture. Prior to that, Xiaomi updated the more expensive Redmi Book Pro 14 as a fresh alternative to Apple's MacBook Pro 14 (curr. $1,299 on Amazon).
Now, it has refreshed Intel versions of the Redmi Book 14. This time, it has launched the Redmi Book 14 2025 Renewed Edition, which can be purchased either from Xiaomi directly, its Youpin platform or retailers like JD.com. While Xiaomi files the 'Renewed Edition' as a 2025 release, it features Intel processors that were outdated when equivalents were sold in other Redmi Book 14 variants that debuted in 2023.
Specifically, Xiaomi offers the Redmi Book 14 2025 Renewed Edition with the Core i5-12450H or Core i5-13420H. Both configurable with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, little separates the pair in our benchmarks. By contrast, the two processors fall between 20% and 25% behind modern Intel H series options like the Core Ultra 5 225H.
Nonetheless, the Redmi Book 14 2025 Renewed Edition starts at CNY 2,999 (~$417) and rises to CNY 3,298 (~$459) for the Core i5-13420H edition. Fundamentally, Xiaomi's new 14-inch laptops retain existing hardware like a 56 Wh battery and a 2.8K and 120 Hz IPS display. Please see Xiaomi's website for more details.
