Xiaomi 14 Civi is set to launch in India on June 12, and it will be the first Civi phone to step outside China. Days before the Indian launch, Flipkart, an e-commerce platform, put up a dedicated teaser microsite, which revealed the core specs of the upcoming Android smartphone.
As expected, it's a rebrand of the Civi 4 Pro that Xiaomi launched in March. Just like the previous teasers, the Flipkart microsite is heavily marketing the camera capabilities of the Android phone. It claims to feature a "segment premier Leica Professional camera system" with a 15-50 mm range.
The Flipkart microsite also reveals that the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Civi has two 50 MP cameras with a 12 MP ultrawide on the back, which matches with what the Civi 4 Pro came with. The primary 50 MP sensor is said to sport OIS, while the telephoto 50 MP can deliver 2x optical zoom.
When it comes to the front, the microsite says that the Android phone has a dual 32 MP selfie camera setup. This, again, matches with the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro that launched in China in March.
Speaking of the front, the Xiaomi 14 Civi is confirmed to feature a 120 Hz "floating quad-curved display" with 1.5K resolution and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 as protection. We also got info on the build, with the phone measuring 7.4 mm thin and one of the variants called Matcha Green featuring a nanotech fake leather texture. The other two color options are called Shadow Black and Cruise Blue.
Under the hood, the phone is confirmed to pack the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is the same SoC that the Civi 4 Pro packed. It even has the same 4700 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support (Anker 315 curr. $24.99 on Amazon). What's currently unknown, however, is the price of the Xiaomi 14 Civi. But the Chinese variant did launch with a reasonably affordable tag, coming at CNY 2,999 (about $414). The rebranded variant should also be budget-friendly.
