Upgraded Anker MagGo Power Bank could be on the way

A new version of the Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K) appears to be on the way. This accessory originally launched in early 2024 alongside the smaller MagGo Power Bank (6.6K) model.
Now, the Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K), or model A1654, has appeared in the database of the Wireless Power Consortium for a second time. The filing suggests that a second version of the accessory is on the way, offering Qi 2.1 rather than Qi 2.0 technology. This enhanced magnetic performance could bring benefits like reduced device misalignment, lower heat generation and more efficient power transfer.
Anker’s MagGo Power Bank (10K) can be used to charge one or two devices. At the front is the Qi2 certified wireless charging pad, delivering up to 15W power to the connected phone. On one side is a USB-C port, offering an up to 27W output; according to Anker, this could charge an iPhone 16 Pro Max to 49% in half an hour. The USB-C port is also used to recharge the device at 20W. Other features include a built-in kickstand and ActiveShield technology to prevent overheating.
Whether this upgraded version of the Anker MagGo Power Bank (10K) will offer other new features is unclear. However, its design is almost identical to that of its predecessor, with minor tweaks like the removal of the text “Wireless PowerIQ”. There is no information as to when this new product could be released. In the US, the original version retails for $89.99, but is currently available for $71.99 at Amazon.
