Intel Core Ultra X7 368H vs Intel Core Ultra X9 388H vs Intel Core Ultra 9 386H

Intel Core Ultra X7 368H

► remove from comparison Intel Ultra X7 368H

The Intel Core Ultra X7 368H is a high-end 16-core SoC from the Panther Lake family for notebooks and the second-fastest model with the fast 12-core iGPU. Furthermore the chip offers support for vPro management features (vPro eligibility).

The 368H integrates a compute tile that is manufactured by Intel in the new 18A process. This includes 4 large and fast Cougar Cove P-Cores with 2 - 5 GHz, 8 smaller Darkmont E-Cores (for efficiency) with 1.6 - 4 GHz and another 4 small Darkmont LP (Low Power) E-Cores with 1.6 - 3.6 GHz. Furthermore, the new NPU 5 with 50 TOPS INT 8 and an IPU 7.5 image processor are installed. The integrated memory controller supports up to 96 GB LPDDR5-9600.

The GPU tile contains a fast iGPU with 12 Xe3 cores and ray tracing support and is manufactured by TSMC using the N3E process.

The third chiplet integrates the platform controller with 12 PCIe lanes, 4x Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7 (R2) and Bluetooth Core 6.0. The platform controller is also manufactured by TSMC.

Attention, so far the information is still based on Rumors and the Panther Lake presentation from Intel.

The power consumption is specified from 15 W (minimum assured power) over 25 Watt (processor base power PL1) up to 80 W (maximum Turbo power).

Intel Core Ultra X9 388H

► remove from comparison Intel Ultra X9 388H

The Intel Core Ultra X9 388H is a fast high-end 16-core SoC of the Panther Lake family and top model with 12 Xe3 GPU cores. Furthermore, the SoC includes 18 MB Cache and support for vPro managment features (vPro eligibility).

The 388H integrates a compute tile manufactured by Intel in the new 18A (1.8nm) process with 4 large Cougar Cove P-cores clocked at up to 5.1 GHz, 8 Darkmont E-cores and another 4 Darkmont LP (low power) E-cores. Furthermore, the new NPU 5 with 50 TOPS INT 8 and an IPU 7.5 image processor are included.

The GPU tile contains a big and fast iGPU with 12 Xe3 cores and ray tracing support clocked at up to 2.5 GHz that can rival entry level dedicated GPUs.

The third chiplet integrates the platform controller with 12 PCIe lanes, 4x Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7 (R2) and Bluetooth Core 6.0. GPU and platform controller are manufactured by TSMC.

The power consumption is specified from 15 W (minimum assured power) over 25 Watt (processor base power PL1) up to 80 W (maximum Turbo power).

Intel Core Ultra 9 386H

► remove from comparison Intel Ultra 9 386H

The Intel Core Ultra 9 386H is a high-end 16-core SoC from the Panther Lake family for laptops. The chip also offers 18 MB cache and only the smaller 4-core iGPU. Furthermore the chip offers support for vPro management features (vPro eligibility).

The 386H integrates a compute tile that is manufactured by Intel in the new 18A process. This includes 4 large Cougar Cove P-Cores with 2.1 - 4.9 GHz, 8 Darkmont E-Cores with 1.6 - 3.9 GHz and another 4 small Darkmont LP (Low Power) E-Cores with 1.6 - 3.5 GHz. Furthermore, the new NPU 5 with 50 TOPS INT 8 and an IPU 7.5 image processor are installed. The integrated memory controller supports up to 96 GB LPDDR5-8533 or 128 GB DDR5-7200.

The GPU tile contains a smaller iGPU with 4 Xe3 cores and ray tracing support.

The third chiplet integrates the platform controller with 20 PCIe lanes (compared to 12 lanes of the other two Panther Lake chips), 4x Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7 (R2) and Bluetooth Core 6.0. The platform controller is also manufactured by TSMC.

The power consumption is specified from 15 W (minimum assured power) over 25 Watt (processor base power PL1) up to 80 W (maximum Turbo power).
