Computex 2013 | Toshiba launches three new Excite tablets: Pure, Pro, and Write

Teaser
The 10-inch tablets range from mid to high end specs

With a number of new tablet announcements from Asus, Samsung, and Gigabyte, Toshiba's three new of 10-inch tablets will have even hotter competition in the Android market than the Japanese company might have expected.

The Excite Pure, is the lower-end model. It has a 1280 x 800 display and is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 ARM Cortex A9 quad-core processor. Other features include 16 GB internal storage, Gorilla Glass 1, Android 4.2, and a MicroSD slot.

The Excite Pro has far better features than the Pure and offers a very impressive 2560 x 1600 display. This amazing resolution matches that of the best tablet screen we've seen to date (the Nexus 10). The Pro is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 4 ARM Cortex A15 quad-core processor. Other features include 32 GB internal storage, Gorilla Glass 2, Android 4.2, an 8 MP rear-facing camera, a MicroSD slot, and an optional keyboard.

The Excite Write, as the name implies, comes with a Wacom digitizer and stylus. Otherwise, it has exactly the same features at the Excite Pro, including that 2560 x 1600 display.

Other features such as RAM and connectivity options for the new line have not yet been announced.

Toshiba's new tablets are expected to ship worldwide in July. The Pure will sell for US$300, the Pro for US$500, and the Write for US$600.
