CES 2016 | Three new laptops from MSI unveiled

MSI showcased three new laptops at CES 2016 in Las Vegas today, including the 14-inch GS40 Phantom, slim and light 17-inch GS72 Stealth Pro as well as the 17-inch WS72 workstation. The company also announced that its GT72 flagship gaming notebook now comes with Tobii eye tracking and facial recognition technology.

The 14-inch GS40 Phantom gaming laptop is now powered by Intel’s latest Skylake processors, as well as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M graphics card. The machine weighs just 3.75 lbs and is only 0.87 inches thick. The MSI GS40 is available now.

Measuring 0.78 inches thick, the MSI GS72 Stealth Pro is the company’s slimmest and lightest 17-inch gaming laptop. Apart from sporting the most powerful gaming components for maximum performance, it will be available with an optional 4K display (in addition to the FullHD variant) in early January 2016.

The MSI WS72 Workstation has been designed with professionals field of animation, game development and architecture in mind. The 17-inch laptop comes armed with Intel Xeon processors as well as Nvidia Quadro graphics. It’s also certified by professional software developers like Autodesk, Adobe, PTC Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Maya, and Revit.

As mentioned before, the MSI GT72 is now available as GT72S Tobii variant, featuring integrated eye tracking solution from Tobii. According to MSI, the GT72S Tobii is the only notebook to provide both eye-tracking and facial recognition support for Windows Hello, enabling Windows 10-ready biometric authentication and eye-tracking functionality.

The MSI GT72S Tobii will be available in January, bundled with Tom Clancy’s The Division game which also supports the eye-tracking technology.
