The new Samsung Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 now available on Verizon, Boost Mobile, and Sprint
Verizon, Boost Mobile, and Sprint customers are now able to buy two new budget Samsung phones that belong to the Galaxy J lineup. This year's Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 have been announced in early June and now these two Android Oreo-driven handsets can be acquired for prices that start around the US$130 mark but can go below US$100 thanks to various discounts.
Unsurprisingly, the cheaper (and less potent) of the two models mentioned above is the Galaxy J3. This 5-inch handset is powered by the Exynos 7884A processor, which is probably an underclocked Exynos 7884. Its list of specs and features also includes 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, 5 MP/8 MP front/rear cameras, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
The Galaxy J7 has a 720p display like the Galaxy J3, but its size is 5.5 inches. The processor it uses is the Exynos 7884, next to 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, 13 MP cameras on both sides, and a 3,300 mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 can be acquired for as low as US$79.99 on Boost Mobile, down from a retail price of US$129.99. Boost Mobile also has the Galaxy J7 in store for US$229.99, but those interested can use a special code to get a 20 percent discount. Boost Mobile renamed both handsets, so the Galaxy J3 is known as Galaxy J3 Achieve, while the Galaxy J7 is, in fact, the Galaxy J7 Refine. Sprint uses these names as well but offers different prices. At last, Verizon has the new Galaxy J handsets in store as the Galaxy J3 V 3rd Gen and Galaxy J7 V 2nd Gen.
