The Left 4 Dead license has met with huge success among players thanks to its post-apocalyptic universe and its various features. And currently, its creator, Mike Booth, is working on a mysterious game.
It was with a message posted this weekend on the Left 4 Dead 2 Reddit channel that he surprised fans of the franchise by stating:
"I’m Mike Booth (creator of Left 4 Dead), and I’m excited to share that I’m working on a brand new project —a 4-player co-op shooter built on the foundations of what made L4D special.”
He continues by saying that if gamers have enjoyed his previous works, they may be interested in this game, called Project Tacoma, which represents the cooperative formula he has always wanted to explore. Finally, although development of this game is still in its early stages, and no further information has been revealed on the subject, he has asked for the community's help:
"If you’re interested in joining us on this next adventure and helping shape the game early on, we’d love to have you involved.”
So, as you can see, you can join this adventure as a playtester. But be careful, because the places are limited and not everyone will be selected.
However, if the community seems very happy with the announcement of this project, we must wait for more information to know what this new cooperative game will be and in which universe the story will take place. And this, although the post-apocalyptic universe seems to be the most obvious.
