Tesla outs new free car color in the US with an impressive ad as Model 3 Highland gets it for a charge
During the company's Q3 press conference, Elon Musk hinted that Tesla may start doing more traditional advertising from now on, and the first impressive ad has arrived to announce a new car color, free for North American buyers.
The new Stealth Grey hue will be available at no charge to all Model S and Model X buyers who choose it, and, as Tesla's chief design office Franz von Holzhausen has inferred, it may be more impressive in person than in pictures.
At the time, he was referring to the team at Fremont which had apparently developed hues similar to the ones coming from Tesla's most advanced car paint factory in Grünheide near Berlin. This one can churn out complex multi-layer coatings like the new Midnight Cherry Red Model Y that was introduced not long ago.
While Tesla says that the new Stealth Grey hue has arrived to its customers in North America and Asia, it is also available in Europe for the new Model 3 Highland. There, however, it is a paid color option, as Tesla charges 2,000 EUR for those who'd want to paint their Model 3 refresh in the darker grey hue.
It could be available for the Model Y Juniper refresh there as well, but mum's the word whether the US will get Stealth Grey color option for the Model 3 and Model Y facelifts when they arrive at this side of the pond.
