Following the announcement of the HTC One M8 in March, a number of rumors began floating regarding another addition to the company's line of smartphones. The "HTC One M8 Ace" was reportedly another high-end offering, one that would challenge Samsung's Galaxy S5 at a price point that the aluminum HTC One could not achieve.
Those same rumors indicated that the HTC One Ace would take a cue from Samsung's design, featuring the same plastic housing and quality. The Ace would also come with a 5-inch, Full-HD display powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU and feature a price tag of around $480.
Now, thanks to images posted by the HTC China Weibo page, we could have gotten our first glimpse of the smartphone. The trio of teasers run under the tagline "To Win A War You Have To Start One", and show a smartphone that is reminiscent of their first line of Android devices, such as the HTC Desire.
The teasers unfortunately do very little as far as uncovering the mystery, and they might have made things even worse since the design doesn't match up with the render that @evleaks leaked a while back. As a result, this new One smartphone could end up being another entry alongside the Ace, and we'll have to wait on HTC's official announcement to find out.
