The AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 is a Dual-Core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz. It is based on the K8 core and offers only 512KB Level 2 Cache per core. The TL-64 is part of the in 65nm produced TL processors with a TDP of 35W.

The performance of the Turion TL-64 is compareable to a 2 GHz Core Duo with 1MB Level 2 Cache (e.g. in 3DMark06 CPU and Cinebench 10 Benchmark). However, some benchmarks like SuperPi perform far worse (see benchmarks below) and the typical Core Duo with 2 GHz has more Level 2 Cache.

The power consumption compared to the Core Duo processors is noticeable higher on average leading to a shorter battery runtime.

The AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 is a Dual-Core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz. It is based on the K8 core and offers 512KB Level 2 Cache per core. The TL-52 is the second slowest processor of the TL line and was produced in 90nm. The equally clocked TL-50 offers in difference only 512 KB Level 2 Cache and is therefore slower.

The performance of the Turion TL-52 is compareable to a 1.5 GHz Core Duo with 1MB Level 2 Cache (e.g. in 3DMark06 CPU and Cinebench 10 Benchmark). However, some benchmarks like SuperPi perform far worse (see benchmarks below).

The power consumption compared to the Core Duo processors is noticeable higher on average leading to a shorter battery runtime.
