Synology brings its enterprise-level application blueprint to the Indian market

Synology wants to expand its presence in the Indian market, where it has witnessed over 350% growth in revenue since 2021. At a recent event, it showed off a bunch of new hardware and software offerings tailor-made for Indian business requirements.

Synology showed off some of its enterprise-grade hardware at a recent event in Mumbai, India. The star of the show was its High Density HD6500, a colossal 60-bay NAS with two Intel Xeon Silver 4210R CPUs, 64 GB ECC RAM and support for up to 1.2 PB storage. It also highlighted its software roadmap and plans for the Indian market. Michael Chang, Synology's APAC Sales Head, stated:

Driven by the demand of technology trend, such as AI, IOT, digital transformation, and so on, Synology has performed exceptionally well in the Indian enterprise market, especially in sectors like government, manufacturing, and media and entertainment. Moving forward, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to meeting the modern storage needs of growing enterprises

Alongside the hardware, Synology also talked about its ActiveProtect software suite for large-scale deployments. Announced in June this year, it centralizes organization-wide data protection policies, tasks, and appliances to offer a unified management and control plane. Do note that it comes pre-installed on devices with dedicated backup functionality and will not run on every Synology product. Russel Chen, Country Manager of the SAARC Region at adds:

The ActiveProtect series is highly suited for the Indian market, with its focus on data recovery and immutability, making it a reliable tool for IT to ensure data security. Additionally, we assure the multi-site friendly system will align well with India's business structure

In conclusion, Synology also showed off its C2 Surveillance Station, a security camera that directly interfaces with Synology products for an extra layter of physical security. Lastly, Synology's Microsoft Office alternative, Office Suite, now has generative AI-powered features for added productivity.
