Sony Xperia Z Ultra successor could show up at MWC
This year's Mobile World Congress is only a few weeks away and it seems Sony will have plenty to show at the Barcelona event. Latest rumors claim that the company will officially unveil a rich selection of devices, including a few tablets and a few products that will be exclusively available on the Japanese market.
According to South Korean blog Ringer's Blue Men, these are the devices Sony will show at MWC 2014:
- 10.1-inch Xperia Caster tablet
- 6.4-inch (or less) Xperia Z2 Ultra, successor of the notorious Xperia Z Ultra, released in mid-2013 and marketed as "the world's slimmest Full HD smartphone"
- 5.2-inch Xperia Sirius/Xperia Z2, successor of the Xperia Z1
- entry-level devices Xperia E1 and Xperia E2
More than the above, Sony will also reveal a few products that will only be available on the Japanese market, such as two special models of the 10.1-inch Xperia Caster tablet mentioned above and two phablets - the 5-inch Xperia Canopus SOWL25 and 5.2-inch Sirius Xperia SO-03F.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Ultra is expected to feature a super-thin, bezel-less design and high-end features (older rumors mentioned a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 3 GB of memory and a 5.2-inch IGZO Triluminous display with 500 ppi), but all these should be taken with a pinch of salt for the time being.
