Das leichte, leise, gut verarbeitete und preiswerte Notebook kann Anwendern ohne grössere Leistungsanforderungen fast uneingeschränkt empfohlen werden. Besonders die guten Eingabegeräte stechen hervor. Negativ fällt nur die etwas eingeschränkte Schnittstellenausstattung (nur 2 USB Schnittstellen und kein S-Video Ausgang) und das spiegeln des Displays auf. Wer also auf einen Core Duo verzichten kann und hauptsächlich anspruchslose Anwendungen, wie Office oder Internet Surfen, betreiben möchte, sollte das Sony Vaio VGN FS485B in die Nähere Wahl ziehen.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 is an integrated (onboard) graphic chip with shared memory on Mobile Intel 915GM chipset. It is the predecessor of Graphics Media Accelerator 950. The performance can be compared with the Mobile Radeon 9000 (with a 64 bit memory bus).
These graphics cards are not suited for Windows 3D games. Office and Internet surfing however is possible.

Intel Pentium M: With Intel chip set (855 or 915) and Intel WLAN also available with the name Centrino (name for the package).
