Reviews for the SCHENKER S306
A success. Schenker's S306 is a slim 13.3-inch subnotebook that shouldn't have any problems finding an audience. The S306 is equipped with a beautiful IPS Full-HD display, a good keyboard and it's easy to maintain as well. The battery life could be better, however.

Model: The Schenker S306 is a slim and light laptop designed for doing some work and play on-the-go. It has a simple yet elegant well-built chassis made from aluminum unibody that is available in dark grey or silver. The Microsoft Windows 10 system features a 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5-6200 processor, an Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU, 8 GB DDR3 single channel RAM, a 256 GB SSD and a 1 TB hard drive. The large cover on the bottom of the laptop can be removed with just a little effort by the user and this allows the user to easily replace or upgrade RAM capacity, storage capacity, the WLAN module and battery.
The 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display (1920 x 1080 pixels) features a good contrast, good brightness and high viewing angle stability. While it allows outdoor use, direct sunlight should be avoided. The backlit Chiclet keyboard is easy and comfortable to type. In addition, the brightness levels of the keyboard are adjustable via a function key. The connectivity includes a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C port, a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0, an audio combo jack and a card reader. The laptop weighs 1.4 kg and the battery life is up to 5:29 hours.
Intel HD Graphics 520: Integrated GPU (GT2) with 24 EUs found on some Skylake CPU models (15 W ULV series).
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
