Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Fit3 in the Republic of Korea, though it is already on sale in various countries worldwide. Compared to its predecessor, the Fit2, the new model has a 45% larger AMOLED display and new features like Fall Detection. Plus, you can use the wearable to track your exercise and wellness.

The Samsung Galaxy Fit3 fitness band has been officially launched in the Republic of Korea. Unveiled earlier this year, the new model is already on sale in various countries worldwide. The latest device in the Fit series has a 40 mm (~1.6-in) AMOLED display, 45% larger than the Fit2.

The Fit3 is also relatively light at 18.5g (~0.65 oz) and is waterproof up to 5ATM with an IP68 dust and waterproof rating, meaning it is suitable for swimming. Samsung suggests that the wearable can last for up to 13 days between charges, with fast-charging capabilities allowing it to reach 65% charge in half an hour; it is worth noting that the fast charger is sold separately. The fitness tracker can be used to log a wide range of sports and monitor your sleep health and stress levels. Other new features for the Fit series are Fall Detection and Emergency SOS, which help in case of an accident. Plus, you can use the Fit3 to control your smartphone camera remotely. The wearable is available in gray, silver and rose gold.

Samsung announced that the Galaxy Fit3 would go on sale in the Republic of Korea on April 3rd for 80,000 won (~$59). Customers in EU countries like Austria can purchase the wearable for €69, and in South Africa the product retails for R 1,295. The device is also on sale in the United Arab Emirates for 199.00 AED and in Hong Kong for HK$498. It is unclear when the Fit3 will officially arrive in other European countries. Those in the US may be disappointed to learn that Samsung has announced that it will not launch the device in this country.
