Samsung is already planning on kicking off MWC with their own Unpacked 5 event, and they're doing what they can to hype up the date. The company's Twitter feed today released a teaser image for the event, hinting at what could be an improved interface.
The image shows a series of revamped icons, nine in total, all raised to the power of 5 to denote the company's latest smartphone. The significance of these specific icons isn't exactly clear, though "Speed" and "Privacy" could point to improved hardware such as a 64-bit Exynos processor and more robust security features. Samsung is also expected to introduce a new Galaxy Gear at the event, and the "Outdoor" and "Fitness" icons may have something to do with improved smartwatch functions.
Overall the teaser does little other than fuel speculation about Samsung and their event, which is precisely the intent behind most teasers. In any case, we'll keep our ears tuned to Samsung's frequency until February 24th, and hopefully Barcelona will hold all the answers.
