Samsung QX2: A trio of ultra-thin QLED TVs launch with 120 Hz refresh rates and fast response times

Samsung has launched the QX2 series, a trio of QLED TVs. Currently, the South Korean company sells the TVs in China, but there is no reason why these could not find their way to other markets, too. Samsung has not officially commented on this yet, although many products debut in China before manufacturers release them in other markets.

The QX2 series comes in three models that Samsung has called the QA75QX2AAJXXZ, QA65QX2AAJXXZ and QA55QX2AAJXXZ. As their names suggest, these are 75-inch, 65-inch and 55-inch models, respectively. All have QLED (Quantum-dot Light-Emitting Diode) panels, which tend to get brighter than their OLED counterparts. OLED TVs have higher contrast ratios, but they can also struggle in brightly-lit rooms.

The Samsung QX2 range is 2.5 cm thick at its thinnest 2.5 cm thick and his minimal bezels. All QX2 TVs are 4K and run natively at up to 120 Hz. Additionally, Samsung claims that the panel has 5.8 ms response times, which is much lower the response times of most TVs. Moreover, the QX2 series supports AMD FreeSync Premium and VRR for minimal image tearing.

Ultimately, the QX2 series will nto be as good as an expensive gaming monitor. However, it could be a good option for those who do not like OLEDs; that is, if Samsung releases it outside of China.
