Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Gucci Edition imagined in concept renders as South Korean pricing leaks
Earlier this year, rumours emerged that Samsung plans to cut the prices of its next foldable smartphones relative to current models. Presumably, this will be one of how Samsung looks to bring the Galaxy Z series to more people following two generations of the Fold and Flip.
Now, a new leak has detailed how much Samsung is planning to sell the Galaxy Z Flip 3 for in South Korea. Apparently, the company is considering a launch price of between KRW 1,200,000 and KRW 1,280,000, equivalent to US$1,045 and US$1,115 at current exchange rates.
Originally, Samsung sold the Galaxy Z Flip 5G for KRW 1,496,000 (~US$1,303), for reference, but it has now dropped to KRW 1,349,700 (~US$1,175). Currently, Samsung sells the Galaxy Z Flip 5G for US$1,199.99 in the US.
Incidentally, LetsGoDigital and Snoreyn have teamed up again to imagine a Galaxy Z Flip 3 Gucci Edition, as they recently did with a Louis Vuitton version. The idea that Samsung could partner with a fashion brand is nothing new, as it already has with Thom Browne. Currently, Samsung has offered no indication that it plans to work with Gucci, although we imagine that the decision will appeal to some people.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 3 on August 11. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Watch 4 series should also be in attendance, which have also leaked again today.
