Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 WiFi-Version
Samsung is definitely one of the big giants in the phone and tablets field because of their quality products. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is one of the latest products released to help them stay competitive in the market. The Tab Pro 10.1 uses the Exynos 5 Octo processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM, which should ensure smooth usage for web browsing and running simultaneous applications. Speaking of that, the Tab Pro is the first of its kind to allow multi window usage on tablets. The Multi Window feature lets users run two applications, side by side, on the same screen.
Multi Window will only work well if the screen size is big enough, and surely enough, Samsung has thought of it. The 10.1 inch display is big enough to show two running applications. With a rich 2560 by 1600 pixel dimensions, the quality of graphics you get from the Tab Pro is certainly one of the best.
Connectivity is one of the biggest concerns these days and the Tab Pro does not fail to deliver. It comes with dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 and supports Bluetooth 4.0LE. The Tab Pro also hosts a decent 8220 mAh battery, which is better than most tablets out there. All in all, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a great tablet for all uses. The only thing that could stop one from buying it might be the price tag.

Spoiled for choice. The latest edition of the 10.1-inch tablet from the Galaxy line is available in two SoC versions. The LTE version sports the Snapdragon 800, and the in-house octa-core is installed in the Wi-Fi-only version. We tested how both devices fare in the following report.

Despite featuring a few niggling flaws, like the lack of an S Pen Stylus and an older Snapdragon 800 processor, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a very good tablet for business. Coming with Samsung's Knox security service and productivity focused Magazine UX skin the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 bristles with enterprise appeal. While we still favour the more expensive £650 Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, feeling its larger screen and S Pen make it slightly better for productivity, for those on a budget we'd definitely recommend the cheaper £325 Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1.

Now that tablets offer high pixel densities at just about all sizes, the old idea that 10 inches is the ‘normal’ size for a tablet is out of date. Many of you may be happier with a smaller tablet, especially given that at least in this case there’s no provision for using a keyboard, beyond a standard Bluetooth one.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has the look and feel of a premium tablet. We like Samsung’s implementation of a leather-like look with stitching and a soft finish on the back cover of this tablet. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is also very thin and has rounded corners that make it very easy to slip in and out of a briefcase or backpack.

For the average tablet buyer, there's nothing to get hugely excited about with the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. It's just like the Note 10.1 2014, hardware-wise, but without the stylus – one of the best things about the Note. What really matters now is the UK price, which we don't yet know.

On the other hand, if you are a business professional that constantly uses their device for multitasking, then the price tag may be worth it. Especially when it comes to processing power, access to business applications, security, and performance. Samsung has designed this device with the professional in mind. If anything, it is worth taking a test drive as it will probably prove to serve you well over the long term.

If you're looking for a super-sized tablet your options are fairly limited, yet Samsung offers up two with the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 being joined by the incredibly similar Note Pro 12.2. The latter has the advantage of the S Pen stylus which is useful on screens this size, yet the Tab Pro 12.2 makes do without and it fails to really excite. Yes it has a big screen and a whole lot of power, but build quality could be better and the sheer size of the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 makes it a little cumbersome to hold.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is not a tablet for everyone. Indeed, I have trouble believing it's a tablet for anyone given its screen issues, lack of stylus and relatively high £550 price. However, we'll look into its real-world uses in our full review.

Its pressure sensitive tip offers enough resistance to let us accurately doodle away and the handwriting recognition is just as good, turning the Note Pro 12.2 into a genuinely useful creativity tool - as opposed to a pure consumption device, which is the category most tablets tend to fall into.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4
Samsung has been releasing tablets after tablet with much success. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is just one of many, but packs quite a deal with it. The Galaxy Tab Pro started gaining popularity when the hype for phablets increased. One of the tablets selling point is its size that makes it a portable device. The device itself measures 8.62 x 5.06 x 0.28 inches and weighs only 331 g, making it very comfortable to hold in one hand for extended periods. The display is rather remarkable as well. The tablet has a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels, providing sharp and crystal clear picture quality. What’s more, it even comes with 359 pixel density, another reason why the display is that sharp.
The Galaxy Tab Pro is equipped with a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and sadly with only 2 GB RAM. Furthermore, it only comes with 16 GB of internal storage and frequent Samsung users will know that only roughly 11 GB of it will be free space. Despite that, the tablet is still capable of functioning well enough for video streaming and picture editing. The battery life of the Galaxy Tab Pro is decent. With a non-removable 4800 mAh battery, the tablet can last for roughly 11 hours with WiFi turned on.
In short, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is suitable for those looking for a smaller sized tablet and do not require it to be a powerhouse. The portability of the device and the above average screen display are the main attractions of this tablet.

Competitive? Samsung's newest 8-inch tablet features many upgrades: A high-speed SoC, more working memory, four times the screen resolution, and the latest operating system in the 4.4 version. Has the major corporation done everything right, or does something come up short due to the multiple changes.

The TabPRO 8.4 is a good size to carry and hold, has top-notch specifications, and most of Samsung's software tweaks are useful. The price tag and moderate audio quality are its only real drawbacks. Audio quality aside, I'm quite a fan of the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 8.4. It's a good size to carry and hold, has top-notch specifications, and most of Samsung's software tweaks are useful. The £349/$399.99 price is a little prohibitive, though: both the Google Nexus 7 (£199/$229 for 16GB/wi-fi-only) and the iPad mini with Retina Display (£319/$399 for 16GB/wi-fi-only) should be in the mix when you're comparing alternative small form-factor tablets.

In a world of cheapo-tabs a £350 slate has to go some way to convince gadgeteers that it’s worth the extra spend. On paper the TabPro is just about there - it’s got an amazingly sharp screen, is stuffed full of classy components, genuinely useful apps and wins over media hoarders with its microSD storage. This 8.4in Samsung tab is still a cut above most Android tablets, but it doesn’t trouble the iPad Mini. It doesn’t do quite enough to nudge the more reliable £260 LG G Pad 8.3 out of our list of the best tablets you can buy either.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 won't be the one grabbing the headlines in the new Tab Pro range, I suspect, but it's arguably the best of the lot. Condensed down to this size, the WQXGA display renders everything in super-sharp detail, while the creakiness of the larger tablets is all but gone with the 8.4's compact shell. This may well be the best compact tablet Samsung has ever made, but at a price that exceeds the peerless iPad mini 2, that's not quite enough to rule the roost.

This takes the gloss off what is otherwise a fantastic compact tablet: it doesn't completely ruin its appeal, however, since everything else about the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 8.4 is superb. It's slim, light, well built, and the hardware inside is fast. The screen is fantastic, and it's stuffed with worthwhile features and technologies. The price is, disappointingly, higher than the iPad mini 2 with Retina display, at £349 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version, but if you prefer the flexibility Android brings to iOS, it's a fantastic tablet. But the TabPRO suffers from the same problem as the iPad mini 2 – it's so much more expensive than the Nexus 7 that most buyers will struggle to justify the extra spend.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a handy-sized tablet that’s pretty great in most respects. Unlike some smaller tablets, it doesn’t feel at all like a budget model. And the build is better than most earlier Tab-series products. However, there are a few issues. There are more glitches and performance problems than we’d expect given either the price or spec, and the screen’s colours are a little oversaturated. These are things Samsung could fix with a software update. Fingers crossed it will, as with these little bits ironed out it’d be a pretty great Android alternative to an iPad mini.

Performance-wise, the Core m platform is getting better. A couple of years ago, I wouldn’t have considered one for my use (trade shows…), but now it’s getting “good enough” for my needs. Keep in mind that these are still ultra-light computers who do have performance trade-offs, so avoid heavy multitasking and heavy workloads.

While this may be Samsung’s first try at making a hybrid 2-in-1, it doesn’t feel like it. The TabPro S does almost everything that Microsoft’s Surface 4 Pro does better, and while the Korean manufacturer’s offering doesn’t extend beyond offering Intel’s Core M processor (the Surface 4 Pro has more powerful Core i5 and i7 variants available) the hardware on tap is more than enough for its intended users. If you spend a lot of time outside the office and want a light and capable machine, the TabPro S is it, though you will have to pay a premium for it – it’s priced at Php 55,990.
