Samsung Galaxy Prevail II comes to the United States

The budget Smartphone is being offered by Boost Mobile

It's little wonder that Samsung is dominating the smartphone market these days. Their Galaxy line is incredibly diverse and has a phone for almost any taste or budget: The Galaxy S4 is the South Korean company's full featured (and expensive) flagship, the Galaxy S4 Zoom is for photography enthusiasts, the Galaxy S4 Active is for people who are likely to get wet or drop their phone in a toilet, (...) and the Galaxy Prevail II is for people who want a full featured phone that they can pick up off contract without breaking the bank.

The Prevail II features a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 1.4 GHz processor, Android 4.1.2, a 5 MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, wifi, a microSD slot (up to 64 GB cards), and a removable 1750 mAh battery that offers up to 8 hours talking time.

All in all, these are quite solid specs given that this is an “entry level” product. It offers a welcome alternative for those who want a low cost but functional device without going down the pre-owned road.
