In addition to the official September security patch from Google and the usual bug fixes and minor tweaks, the latest firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 also comes with noticeable camera improvements, including day/night HDR control accuracy enhancements, better low light brightness, and more.
Although the Galaxy Note 9 has one of the best cameras on any smartphone on the market today, Samsung's latest firmware update comes with a few improvements in this department. Obviously, there is also the latest security patch from Google inside this firmware update that has just begun to roll out in Germany, according to SamMobile.
The new firmware version for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is N960FXXU2ARI9 and comes in the shape of a 302 MB update. The changelog mentions the following camera-related highlights:
better camera picture quality
improved brightness of faces in backlit conditions
low light brightness and SNR (Signal Noise Ratio) improvements
improved day/night HDR control accuracy
In addition to the above, the Galaxy Note 9 also gets the security patch dated September 1, 2018 that includes — as usual — a lot of under-the-hood tweaks, fixes, and minor changes.
Although SamMobile's report only mentioned Germany, we are sure that Galaxy Note 9 users in other markets should be receiving the update already as well. If you are one of the happy ones who already got the update, let us know in the comments below.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
