Samsung Galaxy C9: First pictures and specifications online
Steve Hemmerstoffer discovered a new phone option in the Samsung Galaxy C family on Chinese regulatory website TENAA last weekend. The Galaxy C9 will be a new phablet option and come in addition to the already existing Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 phones that are available in some regions already. The Galaxy C9 has previously been listed on Geekbench, we also have an AnTuTu screenshot so the specifications posted here are pretty reliable by now.
The six inch Super AMOLED display in the Galaxy C9 will have Full-HD resolution. Samsung decided to go with a Snapdragon 652 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, which is pretty good for a midranger. The onboard storage will be expandable using Micro-SD cards. Both cameras will integrate 16 megapixel lenses, which is increasingly popular in the midrange segment in China, as can be seen in the Oppo R9s for instance. Thanks to the large body, which will measure 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9 mm in size, Samsung was able to add a 4.000 mAh battery. The Galaxy C9 is expected to launch in October or November of this year and come preinstalled with Android 6.0.1.
