Radxa has introduced a new product. The Orion O6N is a single-board computer and can be equipped with lots of mass storage. The SBC also sports an NPU with decent performance for AI applications.

The new Radxa Orion O6N is basically a Nano-ITX board, but the device can also be used like a regular single-board computer. For example, users cannot install additional RAM, as the memory is soldered onto the SBC. The Orion O6N utilizes LPDDR5 with a capacity of 8, 16, 24, 32, 48 or 64GB.

Regardless of the configuration, it’s always powered by the CIX P1 SoC with a total of eight L720 and four A520 cores, an ARM Immortalis G720-MC10 GPU and an NPU with an AI performance of 30 TOPS. Additionally, UFS modules can be used for the internal mass storage, but it’s also possible to install two M.2 SSDs via PCIe.

The Radxa single-board computer offers HDMI 2.0m DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C for video output. As usual, MIPI CSI is available to connect one or more cameras, so users could utilize AI to analyze camera footage, for example. Multiple USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 Type A ports are also onboard, as are two Ethernet ports with a bandwidth of 2.5Gbps each. Alternatively, tinkerers can upgrade to a WiFi and cellular wireless M.2 card.

Furthermore, the Radxa Orion O6N measures 4.7 x 4.7 inches board and supports active cooling via a corresponding fan. Lastly, a 40-pin header for connecting sensors and actuators is available, and the board is already available at some retails such as Arace, which is where the 32GB version currently retails for $199.
