Qualcomm may have now revealed what the Snapdragon 888 has to offer, but it also confirmed which OEMs will be using its new flagship chipset. There are a few surprises too, and not just that the SoC arrived as the Snapdragon 888 instead of the Snapdragon 875. According to Qualcomm's presentation, over a dozen OEMs have pledged to release smartphones with the Snapdragon 888 within the next year.
Realme and Xiaomi have confirmed so personally, as have Nubia and ZTE. The thirteen OEMs that will be using the Snapdragon 888 are as follows:
- ASUS
- Black Shark
- LG
- Meizu
- Motorola
- Nubia
- OnePlus
- Oppo
- Realme
- Sharp
- Vivo
- Xiaomi
- ZTE
We would also expect Sony and Samsung to release Snapdragon 888-powered devices next year, at the very least. It is unclear why neither of these OEMs featured in Qualcomm's list, though.
