The single-stack Full Self-Driving Beta v11 update is finally seeing wider rollout to the general Tesla-owning public with the latest v11.3.2 version. Just as Elon Musk promised this week, it is being pushed to FSD Beta subscribers on Sunday. It seems that many more Tesla owners will be getting the single-stack update now than with the v11.3.1 version which mainly went to Tesla employees that the company uses as pilot testers.
While nominally the changelog brings only the "Adjusted position of Automatic Blind Spot Camera when FSD Beta is active to prioritize the Autopilot visualization" new feature, those who get it are most likely to experience the whole FSD v11 suite for the first time, as most of them are still stuck on one of the 10.69.x versions. For the first time, they will enjoy the FSD Beta as a universal single-stack solution that doesn't mix newer code for city driving with the much older Autopilot highway stack that was meant for more basic autonomous driving hardware and features at the time.
There are plenty of other new features, of course, such as the ability to leave anonymous voice notes to Tesla for the human input over a situation. The autopilot reaction time towards red-light or stop-sign runners has been significantly improved, too, and there is plenty else to look forward to.
Tesla's autonomous driving system was recently recalled for running red lights or stop signs, and Tesla changed the wording of its manual to seemingly set its Level 2 nature that requires driver attention at all times in stone for the foreseeable future. It is, however, now installing its next Hardware 4.0 self-driving kit in new vehicle batches and with it come great new possibilities for improved FSD situational awareness and reaction times.
The new cameras, for instance, were found to bring a drastically increased field of view on the side of the vehicle. This would help Teslas equipped with the HW4 set to creep up towards unprotected turns much less than cars on the current kit. Unfortunately, Hardware 4 includes a new motherboard with integrated graphics board and is not directly compatible as a retrofit, so those who'd like to enjoy the new FSD abilities and reactions at their best would have to upgrade their vehicle.

The tape isn’t an exact measurement of the FOV of the camera but it should give a pretty good idea. The first photo is what the MS saw with the tape on the ground. The second photo is from my HW3 MY later in the day and it was able to see more vertically but less horizontally. pic.twitter.com/8cErlWLD3G
