The Poco M7 Plus launched earlier in August 2025, and Xiaomi has a new affordable phone that's joining the lineup, the Poco M7 4G. Its 5G variant was introduced in March, and while the former comes with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, the 4G version packs the Snapdragon 685.
This entry-level Snapdragon SoC is paired with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of onboard UFS 2.2 storage. Xiaomi notes that the memory extension feature offers up to 8 GB of additional virtual RAM, and users can use the microSD card slot to expand the storage to up to 2 TB (256 GB SanDisk UHS-I memory card curr. $21.85 on Amazon).
On the front, the Poco M7 4G sports a 6.9-inch display with an FHD+ resolution and 144 Hz adaptive refresh rate. Xiaomi claims that there are multiple eye-care certifications and DC dimming to ensure a comfortable viewing experience under different light conditions.
Another highlight of this new affordable phone is the 7,000 mAh battery. This large capacity, according to the company, allows up to 2.32 days of use and enables the phone to offer up to 28 hours of video playback. Of course, unlike some of the other phones with large batteries, the max charging speed is relatively slow, at 33 W, but the good part is that there's support for 18 W reverse charging.
Among the other highlights of the Poco M7 4G are Wet Touch 2.0 technology, HyperOS 2, and a 50 MP camera on the back. These specs make this new affordable phone basically a rebrand of the Redmi 15 4G. As for the price, it's available on AliExpress with the current starting price being $147.
