This on-demand streaming service will be available for $9.99 USD a month, combining Pandora's personalized radio experience with a set of personalized playlist features. A limited number of free trial invites rolls out this week while the option to upgrade will arrive to everyone in the coming weeks.
Pandora has been around since 2000 and is currently available only in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. Back in 2016, it had almost 80 million active users. Now, Pandora gets a $9.99 USD/month paid plan simply known as Pandora Premium.
According to the official press release, "Pandora Premium combines the best of Pandora’s beloved personalized radio with the ability to search and play any track or album as well as a unique set of playlist features tailored to each person’s distinct preferences." Old users who thumbed up hundreds, maybe thousands of songs in the past will find their favorites available in a playlist called "My Thumbs Up."
Existing Pandora Plus subscribers receive six months of Premium without having to pay any additional charges. Pandora Premium invites roll out to select listeners this week, and all listeners should get access to it after a while as well. The list of supported platforms includes iOS, Android, Google Chromecast, Apple CarPlay, and more.
Codrut Nistor - Senior Tech Writer - 6324 articles published on Notebookcheck since 2013
In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
