OnePlus 2 Mini renders leak online
The launch of the OnePlus 2 has been a total mess for the company. Nonetheless, the Chinese startup may be hoping for a smoother release with the supposed OnePlus 2 Mini. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei already revealed back in August plans to launch another smartphone in 2015 outside of the OnePlus 2, but opted to provide no details on what it may be.
There are speculations on either a more powerful OnePlus 2 with more features or a more compact and smaller "Mini" variant. Recently, render images have surfaced online to support the latter rumor. Unfortunately, not much else can be confirmed based on these images alone.
The detailed renders show a metal chassis with a very thin profile and dual rear cameras accompanied by dual LED Flash. Speaker grilles, USB Type-C, and a fingerprint sensor can also be observed. Whether or not it is USB 2.0 or 3.0, however, remains to be seen. The OnePlus 2 notoriously launched with missing features such as USB 3.0, NFC, wireless charging, MicroSD support, and other features expected from a flagship smartphone.
