The LTE version of the notorious Asus-made tablet is expected to join Verizon's portfolio next week, most likely on the 13th.

The LTE variant of the Asus-built Nexus 7 2013 was introduced a few months ago but, due to various reasons, Verizon did not sell the slate directly until now. On release, Google announced three compatible carriers from the US - AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. Now, inside sources claim the big day is set for next week, on the 13th of February.

While Verizon and Google still have to confirm the rumor mentioned above, the features of the tablet are well known and leave no room for speculation: 7-inch multi-touch display with 1,920X1,200 resolution and 323 ppi, 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 graphics, 2G of DDR3 memory and 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage. The handset also features GPS and NFC, a 5 MP primary camera and comes loaded with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which is upgradeable to version 4.4.2 KitKat.

After a previous leak by evleaks who mentioned that Verizon's Nexus 7 will not feature any trace of carrier branding, an image of Verizon-branded screen protectors also showed up online. The latest rumor comes from an inside source who spoke to Droid-Life and has confirmed that February 13 is the target date for the launch of the slate.

It is not known yet if this will be an online- exclusive product or not, but Verizon or Google should confirm the story in just a few days. When that happens, we will be ready to tell you all about it.
