Although it's not a surprise, as last year's October Amazon discounts two-day event kicked off on October 10th, now everything is clear about this year's second Amazon Prime Day (called "Prime Big Deal Days" for the second year already), as Amazon's has just announced the schedule in a press release.
According to the aforementioned press release, "Prime Big Deal Days returns October 8-9 to kick off the holiday season with big savings," and everything will start at 12:01 AM PT/3:01 AM ET. Obviously, the list of discounted products and brands is massive. These are some of the highlights that have already been unveiled:
- Sweaters and puffers from Amazon Essentials, up to 40% off.
- Halloween costumers and accessories starting at $5.
- Discounts (no numbers for now; they are described as "exciting" and nothing more) on electronics from Beats, Samsung, and Fujifilm.
- Up to 55% on select Amazon devices, including the 40-inch Fire TV 2, Luna gaming controllers, or the Blink Outdoor 4 six-camera system.
- Up to 48% off of select products from Keranique.
- An impressive 40% from Carnival cruises for certain destinations.
- Free Grubhub+ membership ($120 a year otherwise) for Prime members.
All the above is just a small portion of the list of deals that can be enjoyed in less than a month by Amazon Prime members. Right now, the Prime-exclusive Same-Day or One-Day Delivery is available in over 120 US metro areas. Those who haven't signed up yet for Amazon Prime can join for a monthly fee of $14.99, or $139 per year. Young adults (18-24) and college students can get a 50% discount, and recipients of government assistance who qualify can get Prime Access for just $6.99 a month.
