Nexoc G518II

The Nexoc G518II is a gaming laptop that was recently launched and is manufactured by Nexoc, a German manufacturer that has been selling business and gaming laptops since 2003. Similar to other laptops manufactured by Nexoc, the gaming laptop is manufactured on a BTO method (Built-to-Order) basis. It is completely covered with matte black and has good craftsmanship on it. From the first impression and glance, the laptop looks more like an oversized business laptop rather than a gaming laptop that most people are accustomed to as it is formal looking instead of fancy looking. The usual LED color lighting and effects that are present on most of the gaming laptops from other brands aren't to be seen on this laptop. The gaming laptop comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit Home edition operating system. There is a choice to choose either a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7-6700 or 4.0 GHz Intel Core i7-6700K processor at an additional cost. In terms of the graphic card, users can also choose between the Nvidia GTX1060 6 GB GDDR5 DX12 graphic card or the Nvidia GTX1070 8GB DDR5 DX12 graphic card. The default RAM included on the gaming laptop is 8 GB DDR4 PC2133 but users can upgrade it to 16 GB, 32 GB or even 64 GB Kingston HyperX Impact versions at an additional cost. The gaming laptop does not come with an internal storage hence users will have to choose from a range of different internal storage options for additional cost. The options presented in the configurator are Solid State Drives and hard disks from Sandisk, Samsung and Hitachi. The options are available in different capacities and there is also an additional option to add a second Solid State Drive or hard disk. The Nexoc G518II sports a 15.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen is anti-reflective and offers wide viewing angles giving users good gaming experience. The sound card used on the gaming laptop is a SoundBlaster X-Fi MB5. Its communication feature are provided by an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 and there is an option to upgrade to Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 at an additional cost. It does not come with a DVD drive, but you can add an external DVD drive or an external Bluray drive in the configurator at an additional cost. Besides that, Nexoc also offers different versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office at an additional cost. There is also an optional service to ensure that there are no pixel errors, 72-hours service for 12 months and extend the warranty to 36 months. The ports and interface options include three USB 3.0 ports, a USB 3.1 port, a USB 2.0 port, two miniDisplay ports, an HDMI port, an audio combo jack and a 6-in-1 card reader. With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI (Laptop): Two high-end GTX 1080 graphics card combined in an SLI combination. The gaming performance depends on the SLI profile support for the used game and can range from nothing to nearly 90% gains compared to a single GTX 1080.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Mobile: The mobile GTX 1060 is based on the GP106 chip and offer 1280 shaders. Compared to the identically named desktop version it features a slightly lower clock rate. Games in Full HD and maximum details should run fluently on the card.

6700: Quad-core processor based on the Skylake architecture with integrated HD Graphics 530 and DDR3/DDR4 memory controller. Second-fastest Skylake desktop CPU at its launch mid 2015.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.  

6700HQ: Skylake-based quad-core processor for notebooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 530 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
