Featuring a punchy motor, relatively low weight, and a lower entry price for the lineup, Mondraker's new, fully off-road-capable Zendit S pairs an Avinox M2S motor with a high-capacity battery.

Following the launch of the Zendit RR, Spanish manufacturer Mondraker—whose e-bikes are distributed across Europe, North America, the UK, and international markets—is expanding the lineup with the Zendit S. Positioned at €2,000 less than the RR variant, the Zendit S still sits at a premium price point of €6,499. With this release, Mondraker targets mountain bikers seeking powerful electrical assistance, a carbon frame, and top-tier components.

At the core of the Zendit S is the Avinox M2S mid-drive motor, delivering an impressive 150 Nm of peak torque and a maximum output of 1,500 watts. Despite these high-performance figures, the bike remains road-legal and requires no registration under EU pedelec regulations, as its continuous rated output is capped at 250 watts and assistance cuts off at 25 km/h. As is typical for dedicated mountain bikes, the Zendit S ships without integrated lighting, making an inexpensive set of clip-on lights advisable for street use.

Suspension duties are handled by a Fox 38 29 Float Grip X2 Factory Kashima fork paired with a matching Fox rear shock. To maximize drivetrain longevity under the immense torque of the motor, Mondraker equips the bike with a 36-tooth chainring. Gear shifts are managed by a 12-speed SRAM S1000 Eagle AXS T-Type electronic rear derailleur, while four-piston SRAM Maven Base hydraulic disc brakes with 200 mm rotors provide stopping power at both ends. Thanks in part to its carbon frame, the full-suspension e-bike weighs in at a reasonable 22.8 kg—a competitive figure given its heavy-duty mid-drive setup and large 800 Wh battery.
