New Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air might launch this week

New Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air flyer, launch event scheduled for 23 December
New Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air
The Mi Notebook Air model that is scheduled to come out on the 23rd of this month is expected to feature 4G connectivity, but most other details are still shady for the time being.
Codrut Nistor,

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air has not been around for too long and there are still quite a few markets it should reach, but an update is already on its way. While the specs are not official yet, Xiaomi has already sent invites to a launch event they scheduled for December 23, so it only remains to wait and see what they have in store.

The invite shows the right side of the upcoming notebook and a 4G logo can be noticed on it as well. The keyboard and ports look about the same as those of the original Mi Notebook Air, so it is safe to assume the new one will be an improved variant. The size will probably be around 13 inches if Xiaomi does not decide to target a whole new area of the market. The screen will probably offer at least the ubiquitous full HD resolution, while the processor (maybe Kaby Lake) will sit next to at least 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD.

All these should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but be ready for the real thing that is scheduled to surface this Friday.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
