Moto X to reach the US on the 23rd of August
Google's Moto X is now ready to arrive on all four major US carriers, but not all the release dates are official yet. Information from multiple sources suggests that the highly customizable mid-range smartphone assembled in the US is set to arrive on shelves starting on the 23rd of August.
The Moto X offers an impressive amount of customization options, these consisting of much more than just color choices. Some variants of the phone can come with a chassis made of wood, not to mention the optional cases, custom engraving on its back or the custom boot-up message option. The release dates with each carrier seem to be the following:
- AT&T: 23 August
- Verizon: 29 August
- Sprint: 23 August
- U.S. Cellular: probably early September
Unfortunately, the Moto Maker customization service will only be available for AT&T customers during the first weeks after the release. The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean powered Moto X will also be available at Best Buy and Motorola.com.
