Mobvoi TicWatch GTH 2 smartwatch arrives with body temperature sensors and 10-day battery life
The Mobvoi TicWatch GTH 2 smartwatch has launched in China, a successor to the Ticwatch GTH, which arrived last year. The wearable features Bluetooth calling, thanks to its ability to connect it to your smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2. You can also use the connection when taking photographs, using the watch as a remote control for your phone's camera.
Similar to the original model, the gadget has built-in heart rate, SpO2 and body temperature sensors. Other health tools on the watch include sleep tracking and the ability to log your exercise with over 100 sports modes. Plus, the device has features such as a selection of mini-games, music playback, a stopwatch and reminders to drink water. An AI assistant lets you control the watch with voice commands instead of using the touchscreen or rotary crown. According to Mobvoi, the watch can last up to 10 days between charges, thanks to a 260 mAh battery.
The GTH 2 has a 1.72-in retina screen with a 356 x 400 px resolution, making it 10% larger than its predecessor. You can customize the wearable by choosing from over 100 watch faces. The watch body measures 44.5 mm (~1.75 in) across and weighs 39 g (~1.38 oz); with the silicone strap, the device weighs 58 g (~2.04 oz). You can buy the Mobvoi TicWatch GTH2 smartwatch in China for 399 yuan (~US$58). It is currently unclear whether or when the watch could launch in other markets.
