ATI Mobility FireGL V5000 is based on the ATI Mobility Radeon X700 middle class video card for notebooks and is designed especially for professional applications. The AMD ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 is a professional graphics adapter for notebooks. The core is based on the ATI Mobility Radeon X1700, which was a middle class graphics card at the time of offering. With modded Catalyst drivers, the V5250 can be modded to a X1700 with a better game performance but worse application performance.

The features of the card are identical to the ATI Mobility Radeon X1700.
