Microsoft maintains a relatively rapid release schedule for their popular Arrow Launcher. Only two weeks after the release of version 3.7 they have released version 3.8 to beta testers.

Microsoft's Arrow Launcher for Android has a rapid update schedule, having moved from version 3.4 to version 3.7 in the two months since we last wrote about it. Version 3.7 brought improvements to how Microsoft accounts are handled during the setup process (if you want to link a Microsoft account), and the people card which now allows several actions for each contact including merging of duplicate entries.

Now less than two weeks since 3.7 was released, and beta testers already have their hands on Arrow Launcher 3.8. MSPoweruser reports on the changes:

  • Microsoft Account more closely integrated with the launcher (optional).
  • Calendar redesigned to more easily show upcoming appointments.
  • The people card shows outlook contacts, as well as phone contacts.
  • Layout improvements
  • Bug Fixes

Arrow Launcher has a 4.5 rating on the Play Store, with 5,000,000 - 10,000,000 installs. It isn't a light weight launcher, but it is beautiful with useful features. Similar to Google Now, there is a page of "cards" to the left of the home page with the focus of these cards being on Recent, Frequently used, People, Calendar, Reminders, News, and an Arrow hub to share files with other devices.
