The Meizu 16 will feature a 6-inch screen, a Snapdragon 710 SoC and a 2,950 mAh battery, while the 16 Plus model will come with a 6.5-inch screen, a Snapdragon 845 SoC and a 3,570 mAh battery. Both models get thin side-bezels, no notch, dual rear camera setup and curved glass backs. The official launch date is scheduled for August 8.

TENNA recently released certifications and spec sheets with renders for The Meizu 16 and 16 Plus models. These two models are expected to officially launch on August 8 in China only.

A quick look at the renders provided by TENNA reveals that the new models come with thin side-bezels and no notch. Also, it seems like the fingerprint sensor on both models will be an in-display one. As for the actual specs, apparently Meizu decided to increase the screen size, but the overall thickness of the handsets was also slightly increased.

First up is the Meizu 16. This model will get a 6-inch screen, will be powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC and will integrate a 2,950 mAh battery. The Meizu 16 Plus, on the other hand, will feature a 6.5-inch screen, will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC and will integrate a 3,570 mAh battery. Both models will sport a dual rear camera setup. The RAM configurations, however, have not been disclosed as of yet.

Shortly after the TENNA leak, Meizu’s vice president released three official smartphone renders, which present a curved glass back, explaining the slightly increased thickness. One of the images also confirms the in-display fingerprint sensor.
