Reviews for the Medion Akoya P6631
Brilliant! The Medion Akoya P6631 has a shiny case if there ever was one! Just about all the case surfaces consist of glossy plastic. Will the laptop only serve to blind those sitting across from you or can the Sandy Bridge CPU and Nvidia GeForce GT540M make for a brilliant notebook in the other sense of the word?

The Medion Akoya P6613 is a great multimedia-focused laptop for under £800, with a full-HD screen and a Blu-ray drive for playing HD films. The sound quality could be better, though, and though the overall performance of the P6613 is steady, it is by no means outstanding.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M:
Mid-range graphics card based on the GT 435M chip (GF108) with higher clock rates and DDR3 support.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.
2410M:
Dual-core processor based on the Sandy Bridge architecture with an integrated graphics card and dual-channel DDR3 memory controller. The CPU is clocked at 2.3 GHz (Turbo Boost 2.6-2.9 GHz) and the GPU at 650 (1200 MHz Turbo).

15.60":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.2.6 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.

85.4%: This is an above-average rating. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that about one fifth of all tested models receive a better rating.
