MSI has unveiled a bunch of new Prestige laptops powered by Intel’s new Panther Lake CPUs. The Prestige 13 AI+ uses the new silicon but lack a dGPU. For the CPU, it can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H Panther Lake CPU. Previous leaks suggested non-X Panther Lake SKUs wouldn't include the Arc B300 iGPUs, but didn't specify what they would use.
One can couple it with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory and a 2 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. Its default battery capacity is 53.8 Wh, but it can be increased to 75 Wh on demand. MSI also includes a 65-Watt barrel-pin charger, with additional compatibility with USB PD 3.0 devices.
With the MSI Prestige 13 AI+, you get a 13.3-inch 2.8K (2,880 x 1,800) OLED panel that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. MSI managed to fit all of this in an impressively light chassis that weighs just 899 grams and is 15.9 mm thin. Other specs include a 1080p IR webcam with a privacy shutter, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, one micro SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack.
The MSI Prestige 13 AI+ is only available in a Platinum Grey colourway and will be available for purchase later this year. MSI will reveal its price as its launch date approaches.
