MSI Katana 15 HX B14WGK
Pros
Cons
The MSI Katana 15 HX B14WGK is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop focused on delivering high performance at a competitive price. It pairs Intel’s Core i9-14900HX with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU (115 W) and 16 GB of DDR5-4800 memory. The IPS QHD (2560 x 1440) display runs at 165 Hz, a key highlight in reviews that emphasize strong gaming value. Connectivity includes multiple USB 3.1 Gen2 ports, HDMI, and USB-C with Power Delivery, alongside Wi‑Fi 6 and Gigabit Ethernet. At 2.4 kg with a 75 Wh battery and a 720p webcam, it makes practical but budget-oriented trade-offs. Aggregate review scoring places it in the “good” range at about 78.5%, with commentary noting it “punches above its weight class” for raw performance.

Reviews for the MSI Katana 15 HX B14WGK
Source: Tom's Guide
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed testing the MSI Katana 15 HX B14W for gaming and work. Its 165Hz refresh rate delivers smooth motion across video games, while the CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series GPU ensure responsiveness and speed. You also get exceptional color coverage and accuracy, making the 15 HX B14W fit for watching movies and photo editing. While the 15 HX B14W doesn’t feature the brightest screen or the longest battery life, they aren’t dealbreakers.
