MSI offers yet another gaming laptop model with many options with the MSI GT72 2PC-076XPL. It is difficult to recognize a MSI laptop by design only, since they use a common black chassis with multi-colored LED SteelSeries keyboard.
The Windows 8.1 laptop houses the 17.3 inch FHD anti-glare display with nice clarity and colors. There is an Intel 4th Core i7 Processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, a maximum of 32 GB DDRL3 1600MHz RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M graphics chip with either 6 GB or 3 GB GDDR5. Users can choose their storage solution. Options range up to 512 GB Super RAID 3 + 1 TB HDD. The MSI GT72 2PC-076XPL also comes with a few optional accessories such as a BD writer, BD combo or DVD Super Multi optical drive.
Audio is also good with 2.1 channel Dynaudio speakers with Creative Sound Blaster Cinema 2 technology. Other features include a FHD webcam, an SD card reader, Bluetooth 4.0 and impressively up to 6 USB 3.0 ports. The 9-cell lithium ion battery is a powerhouse.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
