It has only been a few days since Android Authority revealed a short hands-on video of the LG Wing, which the website claimed was a "near-final version". XDA Developers then reported that the Wing would be launching this fall in the US, but few people probably expected LG to make an announcement this quickly. According to a company press release and accompanying YouTube video, the device will debut on September 14.
The event will commence at 23:00 KST (UTC+09:00) and will be hosted on social media platforms like YouTube. The teaser video, which we have embedded below, does not reveal much about the Wing besides its twist-out T-design. However, XDA Developers claims that the device will cost almost US$1,000 upon release, while ETNews reported that the Wing would feature a Snapdragon 700 series SoC.
The Wing may be the main device that LG will announce on September 14, but it may not be the only thing that the company unveils. The Korean press release positions the device as part of an LG Explorer Project, which will apparently release smartphones in collaboration with partners like Ficto, Qualcomm, NAVER, Rave, and Tubi.
